Quick Important Update..

The ultrasound went well yesterday. My mom, dad, and mom Conner were all able to see Adaleigh! YAY! So, the ultrasound measured the baby at around 9 pounds already.. give or take a pound. So I could even have a 10 lb. baby in there, although I can't seem to tell or feel it. Because she's measuring so big, I am going into the doctor's office again to today to talk it over with my doc. She reccommends me rethink being induced because there is a bigger chance of a C-section the longer I wait. Plus, the ultrasound also said my due date was 11-11-07, so if thats true (which it could be because my due date has changed so much), then I am already about a week overdue!

Keep me in your prayers as I talk to the doctor today and make a final decision about what to do. I think it is probably best for baby's health to go ahead and be induced since shes so big, so that most likely will be what we do.

My parents stayed with us last night, and they brought their dog, Baby. Oh, boy! Agape did not like being locked in our room the whole night. He barked quite frequently throughout the night because he knew there was another dog on the other side of that door! Thankfully my parents are out shopping and looking at homes in the area (in case they decide to move up here soon) and they took Baby with them. Agape is doing great now, roaming the apartment and sniffing Baby's cage. I'm going to try to get some good rest since it's nice and peaceful now.

40 weeks and still no baby..

Today I went to the doctor's again. I was hoping I would've had Adaleigh by now, and wouldn't have to go to the appointment, but still no sign of her arrival anytime soon. I changed my mind about being induced, so I won't be having her before Thanksgiving unless its God's timing and she decides to come on her own. My induction is now scheduled for the latest day my doc said she would reccommend which is November 29th. I am believing that I will not make it that far overdue just because Adaleigh is already measuring pretty big.

For those of you that like details.. my doctor checked me, and I have only dialated 1cm and am 50% effaced. I still have a long way to go! Also, I have another ultrasound today so she can see how the baby is measuring.. my doctor is thinking she is already close to 9 pounds! That's one big baby in there! Other than all that.. I just have to wait and pray a lot.. I know God's got it all under His control and Adaleigh will come it's time. God has a special day and time for her arrival and I am excited to find out when that is.

For now, I'm going to continue walking a lot.. it may not seem like its helping, but it sure feels good to exercise a little and to move around.

Waiting in anticipation...

So with about only a week to go.. Alex and I are anticipating the arrival of Adaleigh Rose Conner. We are so excited and cannot wait to meet our bundle of joy. I have lots of cleaning to do, and Alex needs to hook up the carseat in the car, and we will be all set and ready to go! Yay!

Last week I purchased a kennel for Agape, and he absolutely loves it! I set it up and placed it next to our bed and the bassinet, and now he sleeps in it every night. It has been a blessing, and I know he will continue to love it once Adaleigh arrives. It's his space, his bed, and territory.

Agape also got a nice warm bath (he loves those) and a haircut.. it was getting way too long. It's nice to know that he still lets me do it, so it saves us money on not having to take him to the groomers. :)

So I went to the doctor's again this morning for my weekly check-up. Nothing new. Baby's heart beat is great, my blood pressure is great, and my belly is still measuring perfectly. I don't know if she's dropped yet, and my doctor didn't check to see if I was dialated, so I don't know that either. My next appointment is Monday morning at 8:30am and she will definitely check me then to see if I'm dialated since I will be 40 weeks and 1 day. Hopefully I will go into natural labor by then, otherwise she will have to induce me most likely Wednesday morning (the 21st).. which means Adaleigh will be here for Thanksgiving! yay! So exciting.

Here are more pictures of her room since we set up the shelfs and block letters...
